Fideles Christian School Robotics Club

BUILDING EXCELLENCE, TEAMWORK, AND UNDERSTANDING IN STEM

The Fideles Robotics Club offers students of various ages an opportunity to grow in their knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines through friendly competition.

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE

Inspiring youth through hands-on STEM learning. This is what FIRST is all about. A worldwide robotics program, FIRST® LEGO® League guides youth through STEM learning and challenges them to apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork along the way.

Students may join in the Fall in preparation for participating in an intense robotics competition against teams from all over the world.

This will require participation in after school meetings once a week in the Fall and students will be expected to engage and prepare. There are only 10 spots available for this team and homeschoolers are in line to join.

GAPPS ROBOTICS

Fideles also competes in the GAPPS Robotics competition in matches where four autonomous robots compete simultaneously to earn the greatest number of points by the end of the last round. Points are earned by moving scoring elements into scoring zones, as defined by the game rules. Middle and High School teams meet once-per-week beginning in January to prepare for the competition in March.

SUMO BOTS

Sumo Bot competitions — an extremely exciting robot competition where two robots placed in a ring must find each other and push the other out — are built into the Fideles 6th grade STEM program. This is a good way for students to gain an introduction into competitive robotics.
